The goal of PHP is to increase the individual’s toolbox to learn to overcome obstacles and continue a safe level of functioning at school and at home. This program aims to stabilize unhealthy behaviors before they require, partial hospitalization, inpatient acute, or residential psychiatric care.
The program’s multidisciplinary staff includes a psychiatric nurse practitioner, master-level clinicians, mental health technicians, and registered nurses. Treatment plans are developed and regularly evaluated.
PHP is offered to adolescents’ ages 12 to 17 experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness, and is ideal for individuals that are at risk for further deterioration of condition, but does not require 24-hour care. It operates 5 days per week, for 8 hours each day. Individuals will engage in group therapy, receive ongoing medication management, educational tutoring and support, and individual/family therapy as needed.
Our hospital is located in the greater Jackson, Mississippi, area with close proximity to Hinds and Madison counties. We accept most major insurances, including Medicaid.
