The Compass adult outpatient services are a vital part of Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare’s mission to provide integrated therapeutic services in a warm and nurturing environment from our engaged nurses to our caring therapists. The Compass program consists of our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). We hope you will consider letting us help you get back on your feet.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides patients with an immersion in therapy and psychiatric assistance while our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) gives our patients an opportunity to engage in therapeutic services while actively re-engaging in their lives and families.
These services are for anyone who needs support in transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care or requires more intensive services than those offered in traditional outpatient therapy. Our hospital is located in the greater Jackson, Mississippi, area in Flowood, Rankin County — with close proximity to Hinds and Madison Counties. We accept most major insurances, including Medicare and Mississippi CHIPS.
The Program provides approximately four hours of structured group treatment from 8:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. on weekdays. Treatment group sessions offered during the program day include goal setting and skills development, occupational therapy, socialization, education, group psychotherapy and therapeutic recreation and wellness. Our seasoned treatment team includes a psychiatrist, Registered Nurses and a licensed clinical counselor.

Each patient undergoes an initial intake evaluation, including complete psychiatric history, diagnosis and treatment plan by the psychiatrist. Additionally, each patient is evaluated by the psychiatrist each week for medication management. Patients will be allowed to self-administer medications and may bring those medications to take during the program. Patients are responsible for their own medications.
We cannot offer diagnosis, counseling or recommendations online, but an assessment and referral specialist is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 800-863-4004. If you are currently experiencing an emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
